How would you describe yourself in a few words?
Adventurous, creative, optimistic and loyal.
How long have you been a model?
I’ve been a model for about three years but just this year I’ve started internationally.
How did you get into modelling?
I always dreamed of it as a child growing up. I’d be the one walking around the house with a book on my head. As I got older I was almost too embarrassed to admit that it was something I wanted to do. After working in a hair salon for eight years, my clients had always asked me if I modelled and I really do think that’s what really pushed me to try it out. When I first started I had scouters from different agencies come up to me while shopping with friends and that helped me boost my own confidence.
How was your first shooting? Tell us a bit about that first experience.
My first shooting was in Vancouver, Canada, where I grew up. It was a surreal experience. I felt nervous about it at first but then it brought out this whole different side to me. I couldn’t believe how comfortable and natural I really felt and I knew it was something I was supposed to be doing with my life. From then on I’ve been hooked.
What does modelling mean to you?
Modelling has a way of telling a story, whether it’s your own or someone else’s. It has a way of expressing yourself and your own self-confidence. It’s my kind of art, setting a mood and feeling beautiful in your own unique ways.
A model you particularly admire?
Josephine Skriver.
If you could choose, where would you like to shoot?
The best worldwide beaches or anything outdoors. Whether it’s in the forest or anywhere tropical.
What is your dressing style in everyday life?
I do love style and expressing your own personality. I love feeling comfortable but yet still feeling beautiful.
If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
I’ve been fortunate to grow up in Vancouver. Whenever I hear of anyone traveling they always say Vancouver is such an amazing place to live. But I still have so many places I’d love to travel to and to get to know the world a little more. I’m definitely a family girl so anywhere close to them. But I am also a sun worshiper so I wouldn’t complain living somewhere tropical.
What is happiness?
Happiness to me is feeling at peace with one’s self. Surrounding yourself with the ones that you love. To feel accomplished and to continue doing things that you admire the most. My biggest aspiration in life is to be happy.
Where can we find you on a Friday night?
If I’m not at work you can usually find me out on the town or at home with friends eating cheddar popcorn.
What’s your next goal?
My next goal is to achieve bigger opportunities with modelling. Working with some of the most talented photographers would be a dream.
