How would you describe yourself in a few words?
I would say that I am a person who enjoys life and always sees the good in people. I never give up hope and try to learn from my mistakes.
How long have you been a model?
I have been modelling for about 2 years. It isn’t my full-time job, I am a Hairdresser am have my own Salon so modelling is really just a hobby. That is why I don’t regard myself as a professional Model, but it is great to travel a lot, meet new people and work with good Photographers.
How did you get into modelling?
It was a spur of the moment thing in my Salon, another model had dropped out and I was asked if I would like to take her place!! It didn’t take me long to decide and off I went to the shooting. I never expected it to be so much fun.
How was your first shooting? Tell us a bit about that first experience.
I remember it well. It was really funny to be standing there with all the accessories and the lights and flashes. All of a sudden I was supposed to pose and do things that felt really funny, having to control the movements of my own body. You feel really silly, but the photographer showed me the pictures and explained how important it is to understand your own body and took away that fear of feeling ridiculous. He showed me what I needed to change in the pictures and then it started to be a lot more fun and I felt more comfortable, from there it just got better every time.
What does modelling mean to you?
Modelling gives me strength and hope, it helped me to believe in myself more. I used to be rather reserved and insecure and not comfortable meeting new people. Now I am much more self-confident and out-going. It started off as just a hobby but over the last year, I have been doing more and more, even though it is quite demanding I wouldn’t want to give it up. You meet such a diverse range of people and get to visit places that you would maybe never have seen otherwise. There is always something new and exciting….I love it!
A model you particularly admire?
To be honest I don’t have a specific role model as I think that everyone has something special about them individually that you can bring out and capture.
If you could choose, where would you like to shoot?
If I could choose I would like to do a shoot on the beach, the sea in the background, the wind in my hair and sand on my body. I also like places where I have never been before for example the Maldives, Hollywood, Los Angeles, the Caribbean but I think that will stay a dream.
What is your dressing style in everyday life?
I love sweatpants : ) I like a sporty look, without much makeup and of course the sneakers or walking boots that go with it. If I go out for an evening with friends I like to dress more elegantly, with high heels or boots and of course more makeup.
If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
As I have already lived abroad for about seven and a half years in Denmark, I know what it is like to adapt to a new country. I would like to live somewhere that is always warm, a house by the sea on a beach with palm trees, but I think everyone dreams of that. That would be a place I would like to live.
What is happiness?
Very briefly. We are happy when we have what money can’t buy. Health, a wonderful family, no worries, a warm home, food, water, electricity and so much more. I think that as long as we don’t have to live on the street, then we have it pretty good. We should focus on what we have and not always be wanting more and more. We should treasure what we have more. All of that is happiness.
Where can we find you on a Friday night?
Very easy, as I always have to work on Saturday then I am usually at home chilling on my sofa. If I do go out, then with friends or my sisters to a Club or Bar or Disco, with a couple of drinks and loud music that you can dance to. I love House, Electro and Chill-Out.
What’s your next goal?
I don’t have any big goals at the moment, I want to be happy, enjoy life and spend time with my family and boyfriend. I would like to fly somewhere warm and chill on the beach again someday. That would be enough for now, everything else will take care of itself.
