How would i describe myself in a few words
I think I’m a easy going and a positive thinker. A very open and social person.
How long have you been a model?
I did my first shooting when i was 11/12 years old for a pyjama brand.
But after that i really didn’t do any shoots until i was 19 years old. After that I did more and more shoots so I got in contact with a lot of good people to continue shooting.
How did you get into modeling?
Someone registered me for Miss belgium, not really my thing but it was a nice experience and because of that experience people began to notice me as a model. I ended up at the 4th place of Miss Belgium and after that photographers contacted me to do photoshoots.
How was your first shooting?
I can tell you my first real shooting was with Miss Belgium (not going to talk about the shoot when I was 11/12 years old, haha)
The shoot was in Thailand and it was great. We had a very good make-up artist and hairdresser. A good photographer but the best was the location! The nature in Thailand is so beautiful.
The shoot was just lovely. If I would ever have the opportunity to shoot again in this beautiful country… My bags are already packed! If i can tell you about the location. I was by a pool between some small mountains. And next to the pool you had a tree. So i clame up in the tree. And I just love the picture. Its me in a bikini in a tree but on the background you can see the beautiful mountains!
What does modeling mean to you?
I think it’s nice to just collaborate with someone and make a image together that could never be made alone. It’s a dream to work with people who are so passionate about this. To work with people who love what they are doing. What i also strive in being a model is to put a feeling in a picture. It’s not always easy to do that but it’s so satisfying to see the results.
A model you particularly admire?
I admire a lot of models. I admire the models who inspire other people to do the right thing. Like the model who walked on the runway without clothes because she refused to wear fur. But I also like Cara Delevigne. She can be so crazy! She just doesn’t care what others think of her.
If you could choose, where would you like to shoot?
I never did an underwater shoot and I adore water! It has a kind of magical feeling i think.
What I also would love to do is having a shoot in an extreme environment.
What is your dressing style in everyday life?
I have like different styles. Sometimes sporty, more glamour… But always with one thing more special. Like a fluor pink maxi dress with a simple jeans jacket and all stars or black jeans with a black jacket but with a special top and shoes.
If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
I love the sun, so somewhere where the sun is always visible. People in sunny countries are also more happy! I’ve been in Mexico and I loved it there. The sun, the country, the people… But Australia is also a country who has my attention. Beautiful nature and other places.
What is happiness?
I don’t think that being rich or affording everything you want is happiness. While living below the poverty line certainly makes it hard to be happy also. I think that the way you look at things make you happy. I can be happy if someone make me dinner, while others could be irritated because the kitchen is a mess.
Where can we find you on a friday night?
Every friday is different for me. I don’t really go out a lot but if i’m dancing on a friday night, you can find me in a club in Brussels or Antwerp. I also watch soccer sometimes or i’m just being lazy and watching a movie in my couch. I love watching movies
What’s your next goal?
I don’t really look that far in the future. I will see what will cross my path. Hopefully one day I can do a shoot in the US. But if not, I’m sure I will be continuing happy in Belgium also.
I would like to finish by thanking B-authentique for publishing my pictures and for this interview.
I also would like to thank Michel Verpoorten, the photographer, for this amazing shoot.
