How would you describe yourself in a few words?
Independent, kind, and awkward.
How long have you been a model?
I’ve only be doing it for three four years now. I played sports growing up, so wearing makeup and girly clothes was the last thing on my mind.
How did you get into modelling?
I guess with the power of social media! Everyone likes a good selfie, so once that became a popular and acceptable thing to post, someone local messaged me and asked if I would like to shoot with him. Once he posted photos of me, other photographers saw and it just continued from there.
How was your first shooting? Tell us a bit about that first experience.
It was really awesome. We shot on the beach at dusk in Florida where we both live. It was kind of nerve racking, but he knew exactly how he wanted me to pose; he has such a strong vision. He taught me a lot, and gave me my first boost of confidence. We are good friends now!
What does modelling mean to you?
Modeling to me is an art form in many ways. I have always been fascinated by models in magazines. I love their hair and makeup, and of course their clothes! I also love their ability of expressing emotion with a simple picture, and the confidence they put out. When I model it’s fun to get dressed up, and try to portray what the photographer wants.
A model you particularly admire?
I love Kate Moss! She has accomplished so much as a model, and I think she’s such a babe.
If you could choose, where would you like to shoot?
Paris! :)
What is your dressing style in everyday life?
I have two very different styles because of my job. I’m either dressed really down for work in Vans and a tank top, or wearing a dress and wedges on my days off.
If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
I have never been to Europe, so I would love to travel around there for a year or so.
What is happiness?
Happiness to me is surrounding yourself with people you care about and doing exciting things. Nothing makes me happier than making hilarious or (even embarrassing) memories with great people.
Where can we find you on a Friday night?
Probably in bed! Or watching Netflix…in bed. I bartend on the weekends so my schedule is a bit backwards!
What’s your next goal?
Explore the world! I want to see as much as I can!
