In a few words, tell us a little bit about yourself?
Born in Germany, I am a photographer living in Los Angeles.
How long have you been a photographer?
About 3 ½ years now.
How did you discover photography?
I wanted to do something creative and liked the idea of taking photos, so I saved my money for a nice camera that I had no idea how to use and just started taking photos.
How was your first shooting? What did you shoot?
The first “real” shoot I did was for a friend of mine’s clothing line. I was nervous and the pictures were terrible.
How would you describe your style?
Predominantly black and white.
What does photography mean to you?
It means being able to express myself in a medium that doesn’t require words. It means being able to create images that are in my head and showing them to others.
What inspires you?
Other artists.
What would you like to photograph?
Beautiful people and beautiful things.
A photographer you particularly admire?
Hard to chose just one, but maybe Helmut Newton — his work is timeless and so was his attitude towards life.
What is happiness?
Overcoming obstacles, achieving goals and setting new ones.
If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
I like the idea of living between Los Angeles and New York and spending my summers in Europe.
What’s your next goal?
I want to start putting something together for my first show. I am just taking my sweet time, to do it right.
