How would you describe yourself in a few words?

Fun and focused - I like to have a good time, but when it’s time to work I’m completely focused on what needs to get done.

How long have you been a model?
I’ve been modeling for about 5 years now.

How did you get into modelling?
One of my first modeling gigs was actually at a hair salon. They needed a hair model who was flexible with the kind of haircut she would be getting. I volunteered. Then I started finding more gigs of various kinds and kept going from there.

How was your first shooting? Tell us a bit about that first experience.
I wasn’t very nervous at my first shoot, but I also didn’t really know what to do. It was my first time being in a studio and I had no idea how often I should move, or where I should look, or what to do with my hands. There definitely was an awkwardness that I had to overcome.

What does modelling mean to you?

Modeling is everything to me. I absolutely love it! Not only is it my job, but it’s also what I prefer to be doing in my free time. I have fun being on set and posing. I enjoy the traveling side of it and getting to meet new people as well. It’s amazing to be a part of the creative process and bring these images to life.

A model you particularly admire?
I really admire another freelance model that I had the opportunity to work with once, Keira Grant. She handles her business very well and is a very talented model. She’s artistic and has great ideas. She is also very knowledgeable about her craft and works hard at it.

If you could choose, where would you like to shoot?
There’s a wolf sanctuary I recently learned about in Texas, and I would love the opportunity to do a photo shoot there. I think modeling with the wolves would be an amazing experience and would bring awareness to how the sanctuary helps these beautiful animals.

What is your dressing style in everyday life?
Honestly, it’s a bit boring. I like sweatpants, or skinny jeans, and a comfortable t-shirt. If I’m at home all day then I’ll probably just stay in my pajamas!

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
I’ve traveled a lot in my life and have lived in several countries. I love that I have had the opportunity to live so many places, but I am tired of moving. I actually have found the perfect place for me in Houston and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. Of course, this could change at any time!

What is happiness?
I think happiness is different for everyone, but it ultimately comes down to what fulfills you and makes you feel like you have a purpose in life.

Where can we find you on a Friday night?
Either traveling to a photo shoot or at home with my pets.

What’s your next goal?
I’d love to create a program to help other models (and creatives) learn how to navigate the freelance industry. Now that I know more about freelancing and modeling, I feel that I have a lot of knowledge to share.
