SEIRĒN By NicolauSpadoni
SEIRĒN is the Ancient Greek word for “siren”, as the artist drew inspiration from the 12th Chant of the Odissey’s description of the Sirens that Ulysses has to face in order to return to Ithaca. The sirens are deadly monsters, half woman half fish, and they kill the men they seduce – the goddess Circe, in the Odissey, describes to Ulysses the “piles of bodies” in the Sirens’ isle. The photographer has tried to achieve that visually: Bruna, the model is sometimes irresistibly seductive but at other times explicitly lethal. Enjoy this incredible ancient set shot in Praia Branca, Guarujá, São Paulo, Brazil!
